Global Shop Solutions has been building manufacturing ERP since 1976, out of The Woodlands, Texas. It is still family-owned with no outside investment, it supports manufacturers in more than 25 countries, and its support is in-house and US-based rather than handed to partners — which is an uncommon thing to be able to say in this market.
The product is sold as One-System ERP: quote to cash in a single database. Shop management, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, quality, CRM and full accounting, across dozens of modules. It is designed to be the system the business runs on, not a tool you use for one thing.
Pricing is all-inclusive — software, implementation, training and support bundled rather than itemised. Shops tend to either like that a lot or not at all. Global Shop does not publish a list price; independent ERP research puts cloud subscriptions roughly in the $100–$200 per user per month range, with implementation for a small manufacturer commonly quoted in the tens of thousands over three to six months. - You want a single vendor accountable for the implementation, and support staffed in-house rather than subcontracted.
- You need on-premise.

- You are five people, and “implementation project” is a phrase that costs you a month you do not have.
- You sat through the demo and counted the modules you would genuinely use. It was two.

Then you buy an ERP, and you should. ShopTrace is built for 3–30 person shops. Once inventory valuation and purchasing have to live with the job data, a real ERP is the right answer and we would rather you got there than stayed on something too small for you.
Can ShopTrace run alongside an ERP we already have?
There is no Global Shop Solutions integration today. Shops trying both would export a job list and import it into ShopTrace, which reads Excel and Access on day one. If a connector is what would decide it, tell us when you join the waitlist.
